Default catback question.

ok im sure u get asked this all the time.... i want the cleanest looking/ sounding exaust for my car. right now its got a greddy SP but its got a HUGE dent in it makeing the pipe about a half inch in one spot. really restricting the flow. i want a sorta drift style exaust so the muffle is at an angle but i cant seem to find one. i have a gsr swapped into the crx so im kinda hoping i can get a 2 1/2 inch pipe all the way back. i dont want it SUPER loud. i kinda prefer quieter. im looking to spend arooound 400 tops. any good ideas?? ive checked all my sites i know of and cant find much for a 88 crx HF .

thanks in advance for your help.

What I would do is just fix the piping use a http://www.kteller.com piping kit or use an RSR catback.

Can mufflers like you are talking about angled sideways normally arn't quiet, you need a box to help muffle it.

Look at a canister muffler and tell me why they would be quiet. There isn't much there.

You do not need an SIR catback, some people have to extend the header to the cat though.

If you want to drop some cash on a quality product, Thermal R&D is the best you can buy out there. Otherwise I say RSR.

hold up,,you said you want the cleanest sounding/looking exhaust,,but you say you want an angled "drift" style exhaust? thats not going to happen,,the cleanest exhausts are the ones that look like stock style,,the one you have on there, apex ws,rsr exmag, hks sport, custom with a stock looking muffler etc,etc..

if you want a nice cheap angled exhaust though,,look into the megan racing catback,,but realize the muffler is hugh, straight through and its loud, not raspy but loud...also keep the cat in there ,this keeps it more mellow and deep sounding
