Default Quick Question about oxygen sensor

Sup guys. Sorry this is not related to a Honda, but I'm sure it will in future(my accord)

So I'm replacing the "pre" cat oxygen sensor. The car has been giving up engine hesitation and we replaced mostly everything except the sensor. And it makes sense to replace the before because it takes all the damage.

Does the after cat get damaged as well. I mean most of the carbon and junk should have burnt up in the cat.

So my question is, does the post cat get damaged too?

Wow did that person "beenbannedthrice" was here. WOW!

Anyways yea we did everything. From wire, ignition coil, new sparkplug. Or anything that is related to the timing or fuel, we checked.

But it didn't give us codes... We feel that the oxygen sensor is telling the ECU to be lean.

if u had to replace cat then yeah, o2 sensore is most likely fried also.....u burned oil i take it? Also, check compression....accords are known for bad ringlands, and leaky valves. What year is it? miles? Check timing, make sure cam is degreed correctly, other then that, as long as motor is good compression, the rest is easy to fix....Also try running "sea foam" thru the vacuum line leading into IM....itll smoke for a sec, but will do a helluva job cleaning the carbon built up...i dunno what else GL
