92 Prelude jdm headlight beam problem...
hey whats up everyone...the title says it all....
I jus installed hid onto my prelude...I have jdms on there...and i have a problem with the headlight beam....on my driver side it seems to be perfect where the beam shows that straight line kinda beam look and on my passenger side the headlight show a circle beam look likes( i know usually when you look at the beams u usually see that straight line beam look never the circle one... i adjusted the headlight beam before at honda because they got the headlight adjuster there. I did this before i got hids so im for sure that the headlight beam couldnt be crooked...unless it is when i install the hids but wouldn't it still give the straight line beam look and not the circle beam look. Please help...i dont know whats causing it to show the light like that....here a picture of the line im talkin about now jus imagine passenger side is not the line and just a circle look

Got your answer.
Okay I just reformatt my computer, so no Manual of prelude.
Anyhoo, my super fast drawing of what you need to adjust.
The aqua outer circles indicate the adjustments for the Driving light. Vertical / Horizontal. The other circles indicate the High beam adjustments. V and H
NOTE: Don't adjust your headlights and hi-beams using that stupid method of linning the beams up onto the wall. You'll get it off every time doing that. Just wait untill it's dark out, measure about 15-20 feet from your front bumper. Place an object on the ground to where you want your desired Beam destination. Mess around with the adjustments. USE Phillips Screw Driver.
NOTE: if you HAVE THE hid (I DO TOO) it comes with H4/h1 (high beam connected) This means, you can't adjust your H1 (highbeam) without messing with the H4 driving beam. When it was factory OEM USDM headlights, you're H4 and H1 were seperate on different sectors of the housing. Now that you got the HID kit, (probably h4/h1) hi-low kit. They are together, and knowing that Your HID kit is 98% possiblity made in China like mines that Indicate "MADE IN JDM TOKYO JAPAN." Nice of them to say it's JDM. LoL. I have HIDynamics.
SO, What I did was Unscrew the H1 (high beam that comes attached) and used the OEM High beam H1.
DUDE, DO YOU HAVE JDM HEADLIGHTS? OR JDM HID KIT? RETROFIT? OR
I ASSUME YOU HAVE THOSE EBAY PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS HUH?
Please don't tell me, you have those ebay PROJECTor crap, i would be so upset and wasted my time helping you.

There really isn't a "JDM" HID kit. there are kits from japan, and there are kits that adapt to your housing. You will never get a true cutoff because those are achieved by a cutoff in the projection pattern. Which you need real HID projectors to get. Look up retrofit and you'll find lots about doing it.
i put 05 acura tl hids in my jdm headlights with bulb adapters, with the hid bulbs you have to be sure which way the bulbs are in the headlights, they should have a seperate metal piece taht comes up next to the bulbs, it will get in the way of the light, thats how the acura bulbs are at least, check which way your bulbs are pointing...

Glad to help buddy,
Try the H1 Yellow High beams.
I purchased the 4,000k H1 "super white" bullshiet..and it was the same as the Stock. So, Go with the 4,300k H1 Yellow : Piaa is okay, Raybrige is also okay.
But since we never use highbeams.....I got the Ebay "1.99" H1 Yellows.
"there are important things worth buying and others, just go to EBAY."
Glad to know you have the JDM ones.
