Startup troubles
Okay so heres the deal. Earlier this morning I took my car out to get some groceries and it ran fine. Then I tried to take it out later that night and it wouldn't start. All I heard was a clicking noise and the lights on the dash flickered. I don't think its the battery because the stereo works just fine while I have it on acc. Could it be the alternator? Oh and by the way its a 92' Accord EX. Thanks alot in advance!
Could be a dying battery. Take it to autozone and have them test it. You can't compare your stereo to the starter. Stereo = 20 amps, starter = 200+ amps.

I agree, if your still hearing the clicking it should be that the starter isnt getting enough juice. This happened to my friends car and we just had to jump it to get it going.

Well I thought it was the battery too but when I jumped it from my friends ford ranger it still did the same clicking noise. Maybe I'll take the batt out and bring it somewhere for a test. I'll let you all know on the results. Thanks.

theres your problem right there
jk, jk. If your starter is still clicking, make sure that the connections are good from the other car. If you don't get a good ground it won't help at all, and you should be able to tell when it gets a good connection because you'll hear/see the other cars alternator kick on to charge your battery.
