I have the T1R catback and I use the silencer for long trips to the track. I have to drive over 2 hours to Pacific Raceways and doing it without the silencer gave me a spliting headache .

that's with the OEM cat still in place...

Anyway, upgrading ASAP and was offered a t1r... guess it's a no go for me... Hytech twin loop FTW?

If I want silent stealth mode, I just put the stock exhaust back on.

When i had my spoon N1 i used the silencer 90% of the time. It was just too loud and annoying without it for everyday driving.

i liked my exhaust without the silencer at first but after daily driving it for about a half year, i left my silencer in there full time as the sound got old
i'll take it back out over the summer but theres no reason to have it out while its still cold

i have the t1r.. just put the silencer in this week to test the sound.. helped some but not enough for me to keep it in... im sure it sounded like crap on the outside anyways..

maybe a long trip..

not for daily driving.. its just not SUPER loud to bother you on a daily commute..

I run a silencer in the winter because because my car gets too cold, I have it out for the summer though

dunno why you're not happy with the Skunk 2. Mine was a great choice for performance + value. It is loud especially for DD.

I've been black flagged at DE's so I always bring the butt plug with me in case I need to cover up a few Db's. Better to plug it up than to have to forfeit the rest of the day. Regularly it's open and loud, But mine's not a DD car.

I used it once to get a exhaust ticket wrote off. On the freeway home it shot off and hit the car behind me.
