good literature
what are some good automtive and racing books? im planning on picking up "how to make your car handle" by Fred Puhn. just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions on any other books i should pick. im mostly interested in suspension and chassis tuning, racing techniques.
any good chassis/suspension engineering and tuning books you can recomend? btw i just purchased speed secrets 1 online last night. ended up not buying "how to make your car handle" because it seems to way outdated, but i hear its a good classis so maybe sometime int her future i will pick it up just for the hell of it, but for now i want something more modern.

Good suspension books for Hondas are rare if non existant. Front wheel drive and the unique rear trailing arm on our cars are not often covered in the mainstream books.
There is a lot to be learned from Smith, van Valkenburgh, Alexander and Puhn. And most of it applies. But the definative FWD chassis/suspension book has yet to be written.

im not really looking for anything FWD or honda specific, just general information that will cover most modern suspension and drive train types. just looking for some more knowledge.

if you're a driver, get the SS series; especially Inner speed secrets. If you play other individual sports like golf and have a good understanding of sports psychology, then you might be able to get by w/o the book.
get that down first before diving into the deep end of vehicle dynamics; that stuff will just distract your focus on driving the car.
having a good technical understanding is GOOD; but it's not a must in order to become a fast driver. your job is to drive the car to its limits and keep it there and feel what the car's doing and then be able to write THAT down either on paper or convey it to your engineer and let them do their job.
edit: if you want a good combo of both; Drive to Win would be good too.
