I currently have an Apexi Dunk catback on my 94 hatch and I'm looking to swap out my axleback for something different. Will any other axleback for the 92-95 HB just bolt right up? And if anyone is interested, I'm selling my Dunk axleback for $150. I got the entire catback only a few months ago and it's in excellent condition. I want to get a different axleback and am selling the one I have now. The only thing is that I had the tip shaped into an oval to clear my RS rear lip. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with it. I'm looking for $150 for it. WIll ship if buyer pays shipping.

OK guys..very funny~ But can someone please answer my question? Do all axlebacks bolt up the same to the midpiping?

I think it all depends on the b-pipe if it will "bolt" up. I think for the most part they are same between companies the main difference being pipe diameter. As long as the flanges on the b-pipe and axle back line up well enough to make a seal everything should me ok.

anyway, all 92-00 axle backs hang the same. as far as how they bolt to your b-pipe thats a different story. best bet is to just plan on having a shop custom fit whatever axle back you decide on.

not all catbacks are created equal.

many of them bolt up in different spots, so you cant pull your apex from the axle back and hope that another one fits. axleback exhausts that are sold as such are meant to bolt up at the STOCK location. they may not fit your apex bpipe. the only way to tell is to take your apex one off and match it up to a potential replacement to see if they're identical in length and pipe bend.

 

All axle-backs should be the same and should fit the same as long as they are constructed to bolt on to the end of the b-pipe and go over the right rear LCA.

For the record, don't mind these haters with 40 one word posts. I like your car, I have the same 3-pc mid wing spoiler and I plan on getting a duckbill too.
