FS: 2000 Honda Civic Si: CLEAN!! Portland, OR
Up for grabs in my beloved and tastefully modified 2000 Honda Civic Si. I have owned this car from day one and it has been extremely well taken care of. This car runs perfectly and is in great overall shape. There are zero mechanical problems and the interior is absolutely immaculate. The exterior is also in great condition with the exception of a few scratches which I will go into further detail about later.
General Information:
-80,300 miles
-Oil changed with Mobil 1 synthetic changed every 1,000-5,000 miles depending upon conditions. Mostly Honda oil filters but have substituted with either Mobil 1 or Bosch filters.
-Full maintenance records. Please contact me for Excel spreadsheet.
-Very fresh Bridgestone Potenza G 009 tires. (205/50/15)
-Garaged for second half of car’s life
Modifications:
Engine:
-Honda CTR intake cam
-Skunk2 cam gears (dyno tuned)
-B&M Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (dyno tuned)
-B&M Fuel Pressure Gage
-Comptech Icebox air intake
-ITR valve cover
-Neuspeed short shift kit
-Integera GSR shift ****
-Original clutch in good working condition (this car has not been ragged out!!)
Suspension:
-Koni “Yellow” Sport Shocks (rebound adjustable)
-Ground Control Coilovers
-Eibach ERS springs (350# Front / 400# Rear)
-Comptech 22mm 3-way adjustable rear sway / tie combo
Brakes:
-Axxis Ultimate front pads
-Stock rear pads and will include or install Porterfield R4S rear pads
-High-temp brake fluid
-Speedbleeders
-Spare front rotors
-Spare Cobalt GT Sport front pads with lots of life
Body & Interior:
-Factory CTR headlights w/city light
-Factory fog lights
-Removed front “H” emblem
-Removed rear “civic” plaque
-Tinted windows (max. allowed in state of FL)
-OPM Racing Pedals
-MB Quartz 6x9 rear speakers
-Car will most likely be sold without head unit…contact me to discuss.
All of these modifications add nicely to the daily (or even track / AutoX) drivability of the car. With the exception of the fairly stiff springs all mods were added in order to preserve the daily drivability of the car. All maintenance and modifications were done personally to ensure that it was done right (every bolt torqued per shop manual)!
I would now like to list some of the imperfections with the car as it does have 80k miles on it after all…
-Left fog light lens. A truck dropped some debris on the highway which I ran over. Some of the debris hit the left fog light cover which cracked the lens. Light still functions perfectly as you can see in the picture.
-Missing front lower spoiler. Removed due to damage caused by issue listed above.
-Fairly noticeable scratch on driver-side front fender. Roommate dropped his bicycle which scratched front fender.
-Small rock chips on front of hood. This stuff happens.
-Intermittent squeaky clutch. Believed to be ball and socket connection at the clutch slave cylinder & clutch arm interface. Have replaced clutch slave cylinder and greased ball and socket which helped some. Maybe some better high-temp grease would cure problem?
-Quirky O2 sensor. After driving on the highway straight for 2+ hours a CEL is thrown (Code 1- O2 sensor). Simple ECU reset cures problem. Dealer recommended to continue ECU reset and to not replace sensor.
-Accident @ 5,000 miles. Slight front-end accident 75,000 miles ago. Car needed new bumper, hood, headlights, radiator. No-ill effects.
-A few deep scuffs on rims. General stuff from curbs.
-“Maintenance Required” notifier. The indicator is stuck on red and wont reset to green. Dealer might repair something like this free of charge.

As you can see this car has had a lot of attention. I have taken great care of the car and it shows. Please contact me with any questions and so I can send you a .zip file with more pictures and the excel spreadsheet recording all maintenance. Shipping is available at buyers’ expense.
$11,500 OBO. This car is deserving!
Thanks for looking,

GL with the sale but i wouldn't include bolt on parts to boost the cars value to 12K. it looks to be in good condition but with a repair title (if work was done at a shop) this car should bring 10k max
I'm working a lot and don't have time to pull all the parts off to sell separately. I think this car is deserving of $12k.

It really isn't an auto-x/track car though. More like a fixed-up daily driver.
You'd have better luck getting 12K if the car was stock, and even an ITR with that many miles will only bring ~13-14K.

Good luck with the sale bud!
I had to settle for $6500 for my Si with a clean title in fairly good condition.

I bought mine with nearly the same mods and mileage for $10,500. Mine has nearly perfect paint, no accidents, immaculate OE wheels, and no CEL problems. I've also had mine for sale as low as $9500 with no takers. Good luck.
Edmunds says $7,900 private party for a perfect car. You are from up north and with all due respect, mods will only add so much to the value if you find the right person.
I'd try to sell it through autotrader as you might find someone willing to pay more there.

I went to the dealer a few weeks back to get the car appraised. The wholesale/retail breakdown for this car was $9,150/$12,515.
The salesman told me to sell it privately that it should bring $11.5k.
Thanks for all the bumps tho...
