Very small hole/tear in convertible top. What to fill it with? or what to do? please help
hey guys
i picked up a 2001 S2K recently and the car and top look practically new, except for one small hole/tear in the soft top that is only big enough for a few water drops to come in when it's raining. But it is continuous and annoying.
until i find a fix, i have a small piece of tape on the inside covering it. Its right behind the drivers side seat, above my head, on the side, not top
it's only big enough to put a coffee stirrer through
what can i fill it with to stop the water? i dont want it to be noticable or ruin the top.
my current ideas: Drop of crazy glue and black nail polish, some kind of apoxy...
please help, we have rain comming soon and im sick of covering the car

Put a piece of masking tape on the outside to hold the edges together, take a dab of black silicone gasket maker and apply to the cut from the inside, pressing to make a seal. The masking tape is to keep you from pushing the silicone through the cut and making it look nasty on the outside. Good luck.

Any hardware store, Autozone, PepBoys, Home Depot/Lowe's if you have to. Cure time is 30minutes to 2 hours IIRC.
