Default car shakes when riding clutch...?

I dont have problems with my clutch, but the car seems to shake/vibrate when I ride the clutch, specifically when I'm starting in 1st. Not a violent shaking, but it feels just like wheelhop, although I know I'm not wheelhopping. NO its not bogging down, or misfiring, just feels like the clutch or flywheel is warped or somthing??

Any ideas? 158k. original clutch.

why are you riding the clutch? dude people go through clutches like nothing when you do that, its porlly you cant drive, used to be a tech guy went through clutches every 15k becuase he wants the car to be "smooth"

that's what the brakes are for. you're burning up your clutch.

also if noone is around dont stop just california stop, you only have to clutch if you are going to stop fully, 1st can sit at 1mph and not stall dickwipe

You should check out your motor mounts to see if they are deteriorating. This will cause the engine to hop around funny when torque is applied to the ground.

Could also just be a chattering clutch. Some aftermarket clutches have this problem, but is sounds like your still using stock...

yeah brake pads are way cheapers than clutches and tranny repairs.

Sure you can stop faster if you downshift, but it's minimal and I only do it if someone in my car is holding onto the "Oh ****!" handle.

like when someone forgets to yield.

The clutch can't force the front tires to do more work. If you add sudden braking torque to your front wheels, the only thing you can possibly accomplish is locking up the front tires way before the rears (which can stall the engine if both fronts lockup). The result is an increase in overall stopping distance and serious understeer...

You can test it yourself & see. Proper threshold braking action with the MIDDLE pedal will always win...

Brakes are for stopping. Clutches are for shifting...

I thought about it being a chattering clutch, but i doubt it would be the mounts. Feels like something clutch, flywheel...(axles?) related

man...im sure you need a new clutch...when i first got my LS motor, the homie i got it from had the stock LS clutch on it and said i should change it because it was gonna have to be done soon...but i didnt have money so i threw it in anyway with stock LS clutch in my hatch...after driving it for aout a year allready, it just started doing the same vibration as you describe, usually when i throw it into 1st gear...but im sure its the clutch becuse it doesnt grab like it used too...so thats my next thing on my list...

Yep its definitely the clutch. Your clutch is slipping because its old and your riding it so they wear down and dont grip as well. You need to replace it, and try to stop riding so hard.
