A friend of mine is about to buy a "mugen header" from someone in his town, but it's for his d16y8. I told him I didn't believe there was a mugen header for D-series motors, but wanted to make sure before I tell him not to buy... real or fake??

 

I think it is fake. Theres not much real mugen stuff for the dseries engine as far as I know.

 

Mugen did have a D-series header for their dry-sump race D16A. Chances are, that's not what the guy is selling.

Is there a pic some where? I just checked ebay and there really ins't any headers labeled mugen. Are you sure it isn't a megan header not mugen.

I haven't seen the header, he lives a couple hours from me but here's the pic...

 

they dont make mugen headers. i looked for them for my z6 and they dont have ":true" mugen headers. everyone in greensboro including 2 performance shop dudes said they dont make them. so ya. fake.

mugen or not that header dont look that bad.

 

thanks guys, secured the thought that I had... it doesnt look bad, but at a mugen part price it's pretty terrible
