Default Oil Leak from where? - Pics inside

Late last night after finishing up the new fender lining, I began to put the new splash shield on (wasn't one previously), I noticed an oil leak that is coming down the oil pan, However I've notice oil higher up than the oil pan and in other places, so I don't think it's the oil pan itself.
Just had it at Dealership last week for some other small things and had oil changes, a little peeved that they did not say anything to me about the oil leak.

I did the best I could with the space/camera I had, but any help is appreciated
Walker will be along in a minute to post the pics, The site I have them hosted
is blocked at my work.

Drivers Side, I think it may be cam seals, could be wrong which is why I wanted to put up some pics, should be up in a minute.

I haven't taken many either.

Regarding the matter at hand though, Jim, do you think you could look at it? It's very hard to tell from the pics. If it's on the the dizzy side, then it could be the o-ring.

I think Jim probably has enough to deal with atm with his own car issues

From what I understand, godnf8(forgot your name ), said its coming from the t-belt side. He seems to think cam seal, I notice there is oil on the half shaft as well as on the front side of the motor. The oil on the half shaft might just be some leftover from an oil change.... The pictures arent really clear enough to tell. Earliest I could see would be this weekend.......

I believe its on the drivers side. I could be the cam seals on that side or it could be the valvecover gasket. I would replace the VC gasket, the camseals, the grommet gaskets, and the spark plug hole gaskets.

Whats your name again?

You positive the oil is coming from above the oil pan? I'd kinda rule out the oil on the half/intermediate shaft.

Unless it was coming from the sending unit onto the half shaft and then spinning it onto the motor?

David,
I'm pretty sure it's not the oil pan, as I see oil in other places above the oil pan and everything seems to be coming down, rather than a splash upwards, gonna look at it more today when I get home, was late last night and was kinda pissed about seeing all that oil and it didnt look like it just started, like there was some **** caked in places, and the dealership said nothing when I was there. So in my bitterness I just snapped what pics I could and went to sleep

I had a pesky leak coming from the backside of my engine block a couple years back, I was able to source the problem down to the PCV accumulator box. There was a cracked weld on the mounting bracket and allowed the oil inside to leak out. I was only able to find it using:

That stuff is awesome. Just make sure you change the oil after you find the leak.

I had a leak from the o-ring behind that black box before.

As in the tranny leaking? There would be more fluid on the tranny side instead of the T-belt side if that were the case.

Ya I had narrowed it down to that area of the block before buying the dye, I replaced the O-ring twice and couldn't figure out what the heck was happening.

Interestingly enough, I had a JDM ITR block sitting around with the PCV box still attached, the welds where the bottom bracket attaches on the JDM box were full-on welds, really thick, whereas the USDM box had a couple tack welds and that was it, and that was the source of the leak...another reason that JDM is better...y0!~

Those pictures are dog ****. It apears to be coming from the back side of the motor, as in the main seal portion. However, the oring that connects the black box to the back of the block is common to go out.

I had a similiar oil leak a few months ago. It turns out to be the large hex bolt that is ON TOP of the main seal. I added Honda Bonda and tightened and it was good to go.

FWIW, transmission are not common to leak.

Edit, I notice a leak on the alternator side. It may be just your oil pan gasket.
