Removing bushing ring from lca w/out a press

Default Removing bushing ring from lca w/out a press

Any suggestions has anyone done this, im putting my car together today, i got the bushings out but i couldnt get the ring out, any suggestions or am i screwed?

Hammer + chissel. I cut on of the rings in half (making it a C) then pounded it out. Took some time but came out.

did you replace with energy suspension, after i bought them i think i heard more bad from them in the long run then good

YEah i did, i have a set of front lca for sale with es bushing for sale.

can i ask what you used to cut it? a hacksaw? maybe im not seeing exactly how you cut it lol.. any help?

I used a sawzall, the metal sleave i just cut lenthwise. This gave the metal some room to shrink as i hit it.

Yeah, I did the same thing with a sawzall. I used ES bushings after I got the old ones out, because you don't need a press to install them.

sawzall worked great I just hammered the es bushings in and they popped right in, my next question is when im tightening the control arm back to the frame should i be able to move it up and down when torqued at 40 lbs like its suppose
