1. customs paperwork. visit their site will show you set you need to take

2. epa changeover for the emissions

3. japan title tranlated into english and all payments showing its your fo dmv

its very long and time consuming you can have a company do it for you make it alot quicker but they charge outageous amounts. call a few local san jose and san francisco shops they can probably give you a little more insight.

There is a guy here exporting cars from Okinawa, $10,000 will get the car from here to Florida, with a vin # and a license plate....if that helps any.

They take the car, ship it to mainland, the motor comes out, the containers go through customs in florida, it gets registered as a kit car.

ITRs can be found from about $4000-$10,000 here in Japan.

some type of law, motors can not be in the vehicle, but they can be in the same container.

exactly. motor/drivetrain out of the car = a kit car per say...by the books. Im not 100% certain, but I also think that the motor and the chassis must go in 2 seperate containers.

From what im being told over here, the loophole that Florida has for registeration is about to be closed.

Once its licensed in florida, it can be registered in any state...
