i'm lookin for a msd modify cap but i can't seem to find one i been lookin everywhere. Ive heard that i can use the 00 civic si cap but don't know. so i need some help

Just to let you know, your stock ignition is good for 350hp easily.

u can use a usdm h22 dizzy cap.. or another b series msd cap i believe

 

what? thought jdm h22a are the same as usdm. So usdm have external and jdm dont? that sucks. just when i'm about to swap a jdm over my dead usdm h22a1

 

hey whats up. u can run a msd extreme cap along with the rotor wit a msd ss blaster coil. when u get the wires u gonna have to switch the ends on them that click onto the cap. i have the same set up but i'm using an h23 dizzy instead. got any question let me know.

i don't believe so. the one that came wit my JDM motor is an internal coil. if u need any of the msd part numbers let me kno. i have extreme cap n rotor, msd wires wit adaptor cap end and ss blaster external coil. oh 1 other thing u might wanna change your ignitor in the distributor when u run that ss blastor. its burnt mine all up. it was black stained when i took it out.

prelude951, yes the usdm and jdm are different, usdm has external coil, jdm has internal, and if you use your usdm wire harness, you have no issue running the usdm dist and external coil. if you use the jdm harness, you do have to splice a few wires, which you can find the how to in the faq i think, or archived search for sure.

 

so i can pull my usdm dizz off and plug into the jdm and it should work ok without any timing issue?
