Default T-belt Q's

Hey guys i just replaced my t-belt and water pump on my H22 and know i hear a humming sound coming from the inside of the covers.If i rev it it seams to go away it only makes the noise when its at idle Thanks

Is it a hum or a whine? A whining t-belt indicates an over tightened t-belt (bad).

yeah make sure you tighten the timing belt according to the helms manual.

from my experience with new timing belts, they usually make a little bit of noise until it stretches a little bit after breaking in.

its a humming noise.How do you adjust an auto tensioner if the belt is to tight.It didnt feel to tight when i did it Thanks

i have a new timing belt on my lude and it hums. so it may be because its new.

The T-belt is not the most common cause of the whine. Its the balancer shaft pulley that is often over tighten...
