I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, I looked and didn't see any other suitable place to put this. I'm in need of a new car and was looking for something that was economical but still something fun to play with. I found a black 91 CRX Si and this is what it has done to it:

Calipers all 4
Rotors all 4
Tokiko springs and struts
DC sports header,
New exhaust components,
All bushings replaced with energy syspension or prothane,
Engine mount inserts,
Fluydine Radiator,
Tires,
Clutch
Waterpump
Timing Belt

The guy wants $3k for it but the kicker is that it has 184k miles. The paint looks like it's in good condition for a 16 year old car with the usual rust on the driver side 1/4 panel bumper intersection. I've been looking at what other CRX's are going for and I know everything depends on maintenance but I was wanting you Honda lover's opinion on this. Again, I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum and by all means if it is please move it to the correct one.

 

I would say it is priced too high. Don't let any of the aftermarket stuff persuade you to buy it. I base my decision on the mileage. Take a look around the car and decide how well it's been maintained, that stuff may have been done to it...but when. Personally I would offer 2400 and come up to 26 or 27.

 

Thats what I was thinking, because although all of that stuff on it has been replaced, it's preventative maintenance. Any other opinions guys?

 

look for rust around the sun roof and make sure it doesnt leak, and also rust in the hatch area
