Default poly bushings

I'm looking to replace the bushings on my suspension and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Energy Suspension Poly Bushings. I'm in a 94 SI.

My other question is whether or not to ge tthe master set that comes with the ball joints and the tie rod ends or just the set of bushings? Thanks for any help. It is always appreciated as I've done searches in the prelude and suspension forum and have come up with nothing on the topic except for a guy having some problems finishing his bushing install.

their pretty good its a pain to get the old ones out without a press. they help a little bit with lateral movement but not that much. but its also good cuz you have new bushings. also i got the master set and they did not come with ball joints or tie rod ends.

so you did the change yourself. How much time did it take?

I found the master set with or without the ball joints or tie rod ends. Just in case anyone is in the market for the poly bushing here is where you can get them without the ball joints and tie rod ends. http://www.sportcompactonly.co...4.htm. and this is the site with the ball joints and tie rod ends. http://www.suspension.com/Honda_Prelude.html

Do these bushings make a significant enough difference when driving. Am I much better off with new poly bushings or getting some replacement bushings from honda?

ya i did it in my garage, it took about 4 hours to do the whole set. i see with the ball joints and tie rob ends its $290 but their made by another company and i doubt they have any performance increase over the stock ones. as far as a noticable difference between stock and the es, it was that sugnificant to be honest, at least not for the time and money they cost me

If you have old *** bushing anything new will make a big improvement. If you get the ES, get the black ones, they have a graphite in them which helps to lube the bushing

Sweetness. That's definately do-able.

I did not even notice that. I've been looking at those sets for the last week. Thanks for that.

Did you mean it was NOT significant for the time and money? And if so, how shot were the bushings before you switched them out? Mine are getting pretty busted. I have more than usual body roll in turns. I'm looking to kill most of this body roll with bushings, new shocks, springs, and strut bars.

I am looking to do all this work with a friend of mine, so the labor cost is not an issue. I'm just trying to see if the poly bushings are worth the money or not. I would definately like to know how they peform compared to a brand new set of oem bushings and how long they last compared to the oem bushings. Thanks for any information.

most definately any replacement will be better than shot bushings, but I was hoping someone at least knew about how much more durable the poly bushigns are over the rubber ones and if it was worth the money. I haven't priced the oem replacement bushings yet, so maybe even if they aren't that much better(poly Bushings) it would still be worth getting.
