2003 Prelude???
A friend of mine recently told me that they are coming out with a 2003 prelude completely redesigned, and that it will have the 3.2TL engine in it. Is this at all true?

no 2003 Prelude. 2001 was it. They may bring it back LATER, but it'll be completely different. That's really the only reason car companies ditch a popular idea anymore. They have to let the old stereotype die down.
There has been a lot of speculation over this, including a high-output version of teh H22 for the Accord Coupe... but who knows... Honda rarely releases any definitive hints on upcoming models...
No, prelude is gone for the foreseeable future. What we're getting from Honda at the dealership is that it's gone for good but Honda is usually like that. The new Accord Coupe is expected to somewhat replace it. Current plans are complete redesign with upgraded 4 cylinder models and V6/6speed combo in coupe (can you say Acura CL?). Hopefully, they'll eventually do a type-r/type-s with the 260 hp CL-S motor but no word yet. The first pics I've seen are way outside Honda's typical design. Doesn't look bad but doesn't jump at you either. A cross between Chrysler, Toyota Solara, and Benz is the consensus at my dealership (although the Chrysler is from a chrom bar in the grill which will hopefully be removed).

So much for the airy greenhouses Hondas used to be known for...Christ! The beltline comes up to the driver's chin! And could they have put any more space between the side sills and the ground?
Oh, Honda. Where have you gone?

usually all honda styling is bland. that's why they sell so well. they don't offend anyone and make solid cars.
but the above isn't too bad. once you get used to it, it's all good.
