Default wheel fanatics please read

For people that know a lot about old school wheels or discountinued wheels. I am wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get those wheels that have a gloss black center with an anodized red lip. I knew of a guy that had some but don't know where he got them or anything. I am guessing that they are discontinued. I don't know who used to make them either. If anyone can tell me, I would appreciate it. Or if anyone is selling some or know of someone who is, please infrom me.

Well now that I think about it the RNR's came that way too but not gloss and the lip wasn't anodized. But I've seen some that were like I described but I have no idea how many spokes they have. SSR made some like you said I think maybe called Type X. Where can I find these at?

I don't know where you can find them, but I remember the type X's. I have all issues of Super Street except for a couple of them, since it started in 96, I can look through some of those. I remember a slammed black hatch in there riding on 15" black type X's w/ red lip, I think it was an early 1997 issue. The type X's have 4 split-spokes, semi-solid forged, 15x6.5" weighs 10.5 lbs.
