I just bought a 89 Honda Accord DX 2dr hatch from a Tow rard, and I've got everything running great, but the speedometer/odometer doesn't work. Any suggestiongs on were to look if the previous owner disconnected it, or if it's just malfuntioning.

 

look for the speedo cable, you should be able to pull it out from the top of the car. I had this problem after i changed my clutch, the end of the cable just got a little dirty, pull it out, clean it off a little with a rag and stick it back in. hopefully it should be as simple as that, mine was.

 

You can take it loose from the top of the Differential and spin it with a drill to see if the speedo runs.
