question about my new lsvtec setup...
time for rebuild so here is my setup going into a dc coupe:
b16 head
-mild port
-3 angle valve job
-type r manifold w/68mm tb
-skunk2 pro2 cams
-skunk2 pro cam gears
-crower dual valve springs and ti retainers
-prelude 290cc injectors
b18b block
-*82mm stock sleeves*
-ls crank
-eagle rods
-81.5mm wiseco 12:1 cr pistons
-complete acl bearings
-gsr oil pump
-arp head studs
w/ gsr tranny
ecu
-p28 w/ crome planing on letting the guys at dyno spot in san jose do my break in tune...
heres the question...need opinion about my sleeves...wondering if i will come about any problems with a 82mm bore on stock sleeves...
also the injectors...290cc should be enough rite...
oh, should i also spin balance the crank...don't know if its necessary...
i'm hopeing on at least 200whp...so if you have time quys tell me what you think before i assemble everything...don't worry i have my flame suit on so go rite ahead...i'll post pictures of the build when i have time to start...

How do you plan on using 81.5 pistons with a 82mm bore? 82mm is the absolute limit on stock b18 sleeves. If its a track only car I wouldnt worry to much. Oh and ditch the gsr tranny for either a type r or b16 tranny. Just changing trannys will make the car faster.

so you saying that 82mm isn't going to be good for daily driving...i new from the start that 82mm was pushing it but i had to go 82mm cause my last build the arias piston messed up the sleeves pretty bad and just going 81.5mm wasn't probably going to fix the sleeves so i had to go 82mm...to much heat made the sleeves go out of round...
anymore input on the injectors and so fourth...i can't really afford another tranny plus i don't like the fifth gear on the b16 and type r tranny...too much rpm for the freeway...

it was stock 81mm i'm rebuilding it to 82mm now...i don't plan on rebuilding it anymore once i finish this build...if i have to rebuild i'll just scrap the block for a new one...
my problem before was i never got it tuned and wasted hella money cause my motor was running hella lean...walls all scratched up and out of round...thats why 82mm is a must to get the cylinders back to normal...hope i dont' run into any issues with the walls cracking and crap even though i'm going to drive it like daily bout 250+ miles a week...so i'm crossing my fingers and hope the honda gods shine on me...hehehe...

well i ment to accommodate the 81.5mm pistons...my calculations got fawked...quest there really is a difference between .002" and .02" ...oops...piston to wall clearance was wrong here...but yea...still should be okay with the sleeves rite...and the setup should still be cool rite with the injectors...i'm going broke on the build already...

naw still have the block...completely strip...sitting at the machine shop...waiting for the pistons so he can measure them and bore the block acurately...i just thought that p2w clearance was .02" when it was suppose to be .002"...cause with .02" clearance the bore will be 82mm but i was wrong...missed it by one zero...
but injectors...think they will be enough...
