who can i get to install GE sleeves in b20 and will i need them?
i've worked on builds before, but this is the first one of my own and i want it done right. it's a crvtec and if i sleeve it i'll probably make the bore 85mm. it will be daily driven and drink gas from the pump. some of the parts are still undecided as to what company i'll go with. i'm thinking about sleeving it but i'm not sure if i need to, if i do i need to know where i can get i done where i won't get charged too much. from what i understand darton won't do b20's so i'm gonna go GE, the best price i got so far is 950.00. any help with pricing or any suggestions on the build would be much appreciated. thanks
Block:
b20z2
pollished stock crank
H-beam rods (probably GE, not sure yet)
itr spec pistons
blue printed and ballanced rotating assembly
not sure on the oil pump yet
GE block guard
block girdle(not sure what kind yet)
head:
b16a2
dh-racing p&p
dh-racing port matched intake and throttle body
blox springs and retainers
type-r seats and valve guides
not sure on cams and cam gears but i'm open to suggestions
not sure what kind of exaust yet but leaning toward mugen
thats the rough run down. i'm new on here so be gentle.

hit up tom at camp1320. best prices on ge sleeves by far.
a few things about your parts list though...
H-beam rods (probably GE, not sure yet) - ge doesnt make rods. eagle does.
itr spec pistons - you cant use stock style cast pistons with forged rods without modifications
not sure on the oil pump yet - all 96+ b series oil pumps are the same
GE block guard - wont need that with sleeves
block girdle(not sure what kind yet) - not really necessary

If your going to do a sleeved block, sell the b20 and pickup a b18.The reason Darton doesn't sleeve them is some issues with successfully sealing them.GE will sleeve them but you can sell your b20 for more than you can buy a b18.Anyone will sleeve a b18 for you.
thanks for all the info guys keep it coming. thanks for the corrections doood, i'm offshore and i had just got off and posted this before i went to bed.
i know, that's why i went with a b20 to begin with, then i thought about sleeves but i already had the motor so instead of selling it and getting a b18 and sleeving it to 84 or 85, i decided to just stick with what i got

yes they do, but he said he wanted 85mm. Golden Eagle has a lifetime warranty with their sleeves as long as you stay in there specifications and they install the sleeves. The reason Darton doesnt do b20's is because the sleeves can sometimes sink. GE's warranty covers that issue so if you can I would go with them. I dont know what warranty has camp1230 has so I would check that out to
camp 1320 is ge distributor, same warranty's
and i don't understand what the problem with b20 blocks is, we never had any problems
