Default Radio Troubles

Hi all,

My friend owns a 1995 Accord V6, and his battery recently died. He replaced the battery and low and behold his radio locked itself. We have the code to unlock it, but just punching in the number dosnt seem to do much of anything. Is there a special procedure that has to be followed in order to enter the code? If so can someone please post the steps on how to do it, or give me a link on how to enter the code?

Thanks in advance.

kkk, this is what I would do and everyone here would do...

Look in the manual, glove compartment. The dealer should of given him the anti theft code. It looks like a credit card.

If you can't find it, call a dealer and tell them your situation... They'll help you.

The problem is, this car was bought second hand, and the owners manual did not come with the car. We have the Code, but just punching it in when the display reads Code dosnt do anything, is there a certain procedure for entering the code?

disconnect the battery so the radio will reset itself, then you enter in code again

It should be 5 digits long and you should just enter them in when you see "Code" pop up on the screen after turning the radio on.

Enter them in, it should take it and go to your radio if not you either have the wrong code (go to dealership w/ radio serial number and proof of car ownership) and get the correct code or your radio is gunked up.
