Ok, i have a 99 lude and I just got an HKS Hi-Power muffler, i'm going to get custom 2.5" piping, I was wondering though for the cat. what should I use, is there any difference in brands/quality? Or should I just not run a cat. we have NO emissions here. Would I be ok buying a cheap Ebay one, or do i need to spend $200 on a magnaflow/carsound?
cows are worse for the environment...... dont see anyone doing anything about that...
The livestock sector is a major player, responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions measured in CO2 equivalent. This is a higher share than transport…
Get a 2.5" if that's the size exhaust you're getting (unless you're talking about length)
but make your own decision

magnaflow is good, about the size, it depends how big you want your pipe. magnaflow cats have sizes if its 2.5 or 2 n a quarter. i juz have mine install. but if theres no emissions in your place, then its allright to have no cat it going to be load specially with a custom piping.

if you're getting custom 2.5" piping, im sure the muffler shop will get everthing all measured out properly for you. just give them what you have and they'll weld it all together.

BE CAREFUL
Not all Magnaflow/Carsound cats are the same.
I don't use them anymore since I have found another cat for the same price but with a higher weight rating and that means it will do better in the emissions department. If I was to use a carsound I would only use the 935** series cats. I've had problems with the others breaking apart. The other thing that effects the price is the cell count and the material of the substrate. 400 cell ceramic cats are the cheapest, 200 cell metallic cats are the most expensive and flow the best. I offer 400, 300 and 200. You just have to know what you are buying or chances are you'll be buying something again.
