wuts up guys? i recently just got my 98spec b18c up and running in my itr. motor seems to pull and run strong. compression test yielded about 210 across .. the only problem i have is a lumpy idle. the idle seems to be pretty decent until i turn on the headlights. once i do the idle seems to jump up to about 1500 and then down to about 1000, as soon as i turn the lights off the idle returns to normal. the only thing i can think is possibly the alternator failing on me? if anyone else has any input it would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

it is normal for the idle to stay fluctuating until i cut my lights off? i can tell by the looks on peoples faces that they think im cammed out or something lol

 

Oh, so it continues to surge when the lights are on?

 

yea it will surge up and down until i either apply some gas, or turn my lights off. i didnt notice it only happend when i turned the lights on until i was bleeding my coolant system hoping maybe i just had some air trapped in it.
