What to look for when buying.....
an 01 Accord lx sedan? It is auto trans, 4dr. Any areas that i might pay special attention to? Any known problems of these cars? thanks.

have it checked out by a honda dealership is my vote, I've had it done on all the cars I was seriously considering buying
$50-90 it's about an hour and a half and they go over everything and give you a nice report in the end. Just call and ask for a "pre-purchase inspection"

have the recalls been done?

pay attention to everything! lol I've owned 3 hondas and its always something. cv joints, timing belts, coolant temp sensors, thermo-switches, ignition switches, tail lights, transmissions, radiators, brakes, etc. !!! I think I'm done buying hondas...

Ahh! I went an looked at it, it was nice looking to the untrained eye. They had painted the windshield wipers white then painted over that with black again and it was chipping. They painted the rear H emblem, it had the sticky residue from another dealers emblem on the trunk too. I popped hte hood and it had a ghetto rigged intake filter on the stock intake tube. The interior had one spray painted piece aswell. Two different brands of tires on the car aswell. I will keep looking.
