Default Skunk2 Pro 1's???

I'm putting P30 pistons in my GSR motor, and now I want to replace my ITR cams.
Would the Skunk2 Pro 1's be a good choice? It's daily driven so I don't want anything to crazy.
I already have portflow springs and retainers.
Anyone?

Skunk2 Pro-1 cams are great for 1.8L applications.

Also look into RM M22X cams.

No. The Blox B camshafts are very similar to Skunk2 Stage 2's

Mild primaries, decent VTEC lobe.

Nearly identical peak power numbers, Pro-1's will have more tq/hp in low/mid revvs.

Different primary width, same lift and duration. Prety much a No No on used rockers.

I have seen 9.8:1 to 13:1. Compression is not the most important thing in a motor and has been proved time and time again. With an increase in compression you are also going to see an increase in wear.

skunk2 pro1's will be a good choice as long as you have ability to tune your car. these cams i think are great for the street cause you have a pretty consistant powerband and low end power. they just require a little more tuning and make sure you degree them.

if it's the same lift and duration, how does it hurt rockers? they are just wider

Rockers get worn during normal use stick a wider lobe in there and funny things happen.

I have never had a problem with any aftermarket cams on "used" cam followers. Interesting that you say "bad things" will happen.

What would be the point of making a wider lobe? Sounds like a load of BS to me. The lobe can only be so wide since you only have so much room to work with and the contact path of the follower is only so wide. There would be no logical benefit from making a lobe wider.

That is because everyone else makes their cams the same as Honda

Notice all 3 lobes have the same width?

What do you think will happen to a rocker than has a wear pattern of a narrower lobe. It going to put a lot of stress on the outer edge where the rocker is not worn.

I agree there is no need for this. But as you can see from the picture BLOX has done it. I guess they have created something after all.

i'm starting to believe he doesn't even know. all i know is my Jun3's & S2P1s have wider lobes than my BC3+'s. i have no rocker problems or abnormal wear with my P1's. they've been in for over a year.
