I'm not exactly sure - but my educated guess is 93 because that is when the coupe came out and 92 I think was the year when it only had driver side airbag. Just wait for Tom to come online and he'll clarify

Thanks. Sorta what I thought. My old '93 Si only had a driver's side bag.
This applies to the Coupe and Hatch models?

Aren't the pasenger air bags optional? As in, you can have them deactivated for reasons of a young child maybe in the passenger seat or whatever? If this is true can we legally unhook them and remove? Or. . .. . Could I swap in a 92-93 dash to get rid of the p.airbag? Legal that way??? Anyone know?!
i say put a 92-93 dash in, and if anyone asks, say its always been like that. they can't prove otherwise, unless they for some reason track down the previous owner and that person has pictures of the interior......

The option to "turn off" the passenger bag wasn't really a option in the mid-90's. The reason I ask, is that I'm buying a DX shell to run ITA to replace my previous car (wrecked). If the 1992 and 1993 cars didn't have the right side airbag, I'd rather search for just those years and skip the hassle of ripping out the extra bag. Lord knows I'll have enough ripping to do.
Anyone out west selling a POS DX?
