A guy wants to sell me his 1997 civic hb for 4000 its droped with rims and gunmetal headlights...but there is a hole in the drivers tail light and there is minor damage like scratches and dents...what do you guys think...let me know

ehh, I kinda got ripped with my 97 civic ex coupe, red color. Paid $5,500 but where I live it's kinda of a car rip-off city... Although the prev. owners were just a family i knew it was in good cond. and totally stock.

How many miles are on the chassis/engine? Condition of the engine?

 

if the interior is still mint and the car doesn't have too much miles i'd prolly take it for 3g's...with 4gs you can find a decent ek...

 

i paid $3600 for my 96 hatch with 130k, single owner, he was seriusly like 60 years old, so i know he babied it, had most of the maintnece records to at the local dealershiponly bad part was the little bit of rust bubling threw, but im in the process of fixing that now

 

4000 isn't too bad if it doesn't have too many miles, but definitely offer less.

 

I can get a 96 hatch with 130k, really good body, for $3k, but it has "racing stripes" on it, so I'm pretty sure it's been abused. There are a lot of factors that you didn't include, that we would need to know to make an accurate estimate. And pictures would help.

 

i would go 3500 cash and if he doesnt accept it, just walk away.. then he comes right behind you ..dont forget to show him the cash...

i paid 3900 for my 97 ex coupe lowered with CG sleeves and yellows, GSR blades, and a super clean exterior/interior.

so i would offer no more than 3500-4000 depending on the milage.

 

i paid 5800 for mine in 100% good condition, with only 30,000 miles on it a lot of money but the cars in show room condition
