Default What H22A is this?

I have got this motor in a deal awhile back.

Stamped H22A, prelude halfshaft will not line up with the holes on the block. Came with a M2B4 (JDM Prelude LSD) transmission. USDM Honda prelude H22A4 exhaust manifold gasket will not line up with the exhaust studs, nor will the USDM intake manifold gasket line up with the intake studs. Had auto tensioner (replaced with H23 manual tensioner).

I was thinking a Euro-R motor paired with a prelude transmission. Any input?

It's probably the H22A then if it has the M2B4 Tranny installed.
Because the USDM A4 Intake/Exhaust Gasket shouldn't work on the JDM H22A. At least, I think so..

But.. That's a lot of corrosion on the block.. and.. everything else... lol

its not a euroR motor. the euroR is perfectly compatible with all of those parts with the exception of the intake manifold.

what motor did you have in the car previously?

The block says H22A.

But, I know that only a accord halfshaft will work on it.

This motor in in a civic right now, i'm just here to figure out what the hell it is.

^^I dunno why the Intake Manifold wouldn't work??

But that is a Civic/HB Swap.. It's not in a Prelude, so it had a B-Series or D-Series Motor Originally.

You know that's the only halfshaft that will work??
Were you trying an USDM A4 halfshaft?? Or SH halfshaft?

^^Could be the same.. Not sure though.. Check that out..

I was referring to an a4 IM not being perfectly compatible to a euroR h22a head

OP can you take some pictures of the specific problem areas?
