Default intake manifold question

what does that black box do on the bottom of the a6 intake manifold do??
Because i broke two of the vac lines on it.Will this make me loose hp?

that is a vacuum tank and is part of what controls the IAB's in the intake manifold. Without it, the IAB's probably won't function correctly so they either stay open or closed, not sure which, all the time. That vacuum tank is about $25 from the dealer.

If you replace it, make sure you keep the sensor on it, that sensor is pretty pricy.
