Default whats wrong with this?

okay. well i recently got my motor tuned at my local shop . . .
i have a full bolt on gsr, minus the cat (stock), vafc, p28 chipped ecu, and it's in an ej1. motor has roughly 75k on it, and it's been maintained well (oil changes, spark plug replacement, etc)

so before the tune it was 128 whp 99 tq, and now its 146 whp 110 tq.

what the hell is up with this? full bolt on gsr only making barely 150whp?

oh and btw my camseal is fucked. could this be the problem?

help!

am i just being dumb?

edit :
i was wondering because my friend has the same motor in his 99 ex, but he's also replaced things like pulleys, timing belt, and other things i dont remember. he also has just an exhaust and is making 150whp untuned.

There is your answer. 146 is about right. I have a fully built 2 liter that makes over 240 whp with Skunk Pro 2's. With stock B16 cams it only makes 190 or so.

If you are throwing any check engine lights that should be the first thing that you fix. Your car is telling you something. The cam seal will not cause a power loss, just a mess.

Use a piece of wire and strip the ends to make a U shape. Use that to stick in the plug. Turn the ignition on and watch the light blink. Long blinks are 10 and shorts are 1. It cycles over and over.

sounds like you had your expectations set too high. i'd be ecstatic if my bolt on's b18c1 made 150whp.

150 whp on a b18c1 is really low to me , my stock 1st gen b16 put down 153 to the wheels with only bolt ons, some thing else is wrong with your motor

try doing a compression test, see if the motor is healthy, i put down 160 in a stock gsr untuned, with only a skunk intake mani, stock header, stock intake

you cant really check it without a tester, the numbers seem extremely low. at a local dyno stock b16s put out that much, (1st gen b16s) and i havent seen a stock gsr dyno tune, but one with a skunk2 mani, aem intake, cheap dc header and and apexi ws catback put out 168whp on a dynojet.
