i changed from a ys1 lsd trans to a ls trans I then hated my car it became a slow 1 wheel spinner . the whole gear ratio is off in my opinion. If the car had say more linear power 400 hp and a lsd with slicks than i could see using that trans.

I just spent 1700 on a new typeR hydro trans to fix this issue thats how much i think it sux to have an LS trans.

No it's not "good wit a turbo". LS tranny sucks period. Shorter geared tranny is going to accelerate the quickest.

add .75 sec or more to yout e.t.
ls trans suck for racing. highway riding is ok. you gotta take the engine wayyy high (9k) to be "in" vtec the next gear.

True and false, I guess. A shorter geared tranny will accelerate the quickest, but in a turbo car, the wheels will just spin. There's other factors like slicks, LSD, etc.

I've got a buddy on here with an LS/V who switched from a B16(cable) to an LS(cable) tranny because the first three gears were a joke when he was on the gas.

B16, all motor, with an LS tranny is one economic setup. That thing will get hella good gas-mileage. Don't expect the torque curve to budge a fat chick though, and that 0-60 just stretched from 6.8 seconds to 4.5 minutes. In a turbo, its good for way freakin' top end. Spooling is about as fast as a dial-up connection. Contrary to popular opinion, just because your in VTEC longer doesn't mean your going faster, it just means that your in VTEC longer. go b16, GSR or ITR tranny. Or go LS tranny with a shorter final drive, there is always that option.
