Default Some ITR pics and a follow-up to my injury

Some of you may know that I f**ked up my ankle in the worst way 6 weeks ago. Here's a link to the first thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1859158.

This has been quite an ordeal for me since I've never experienced anything remotely close to this before. Surgery went well and I was able to take a few weeks off work to let the swelling subside. Now I'm back at work fulltime, crutching around like a pro and getting rides from other staff members since I can't drive. I'll be on crutches for another 6 weeks and starting physio soon. Not really looking forward to that at all . Not being able to drive for ANOTHER 6 weeks kinda pissed me off since HPDE season starts at the beginning of April. Even after that my heel-toe action will most likely suck the big one. As long as I can get out by the summertime I'll be happy.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the PM's, well-wishes and support. This is quite the community here and I'm happy to be a part of it for reasons like this. Who would've thought that a car could've brought so many people together

To keep this R related I snapped some pics yesterday as my girlfriend and I drove up to Cypress mountain(local ski area). She drove which was kind of cool. I don't get a chance to ride shotgun in my own car very often.

And here's my crippled *** chillin'

I'll be updating my suspension soon so I'll post pics of that process as well.

Enjoi!!

good luck on the recovery. I blew up my ankle a bunch of times skating, but nothing like that.

I ride bmx more now than skate, and I'm always afraid of getting hurt and missing work, missing track days, getting fat, etc.

Getting old kind of sucks.

You'll be back to 100%. I had the same type of injury but it was on our (my roomies & myself) 6' BMX/skate mini. Not walking for weeks gets pretty old but your upper body gets an overhaul.

Injuries like that really do keep things in perspective.

Good luck with your recovery,
Matt

I hope you get better soon. I know how you feel. I rolled my right ankle 4 times already. I have very little muscle memory left on my right ankle. The Doctor says if I roll it one more time, I might require sugery. Too much skateboarding when I was younger.

By the way, those rims are sick! are they 16" or 17"

Good luck

She's actually a really kick *** driver . I wasn't worried one bit.

Time Attacks are 17x7.5 for those that were wondering.

Thanx y'all for your comments.

After seeing other ITR's with 17's, like Trellis and JUN.R, I think another 1/2 inch drop is an order. Maybe 1/2 inch front and 1/4 inch rear. Looks kinda funny the way it is now .
