No it's not, there are dyno charts proving that the Z6 is superior.

That's definitely a Y8 auto manifold that comes from a 96-98 EX. The 99-00 has the air injection which are little holes in the flange just above the runners with a vacuum fitting on top of the flange. The y5 manifold from the HX has an EGR which is a big plate that spans across the runners which is fairly easy to spot. Should you decide to go with a Z6 manifold, I'd gladly take that off your hands...

Assuming your current setup uses a 2 wire IACV, you'd have to drill and tap the manifold for that which is more hassle than it's worth for most people. A Z6 manifold already uses a 2 wire IACV on both the manual and automatic as far as I know and is the better manifold as stated by other HT members.
That y8 auto manifold you have pictured is a more straight foward swap on a y7 than it would be on a d15b7 because all y7's use a 3 wire IACV where as the y8 manual uses a 2 wire version.

Ummm, you notice that the TPS is broken and the TB had a fitting pulled out of it?
That thing is in rough shape. You could clean it up, but why? If you're using the Z6 manifold, keep it.

notice the y8 manifold is extremely thick.... which equals more air.... which equals more power....which equals better. not much but there is a difference in air intake... if the z6 was better honda would have kept using it on the ex model... the y8 has less restrictions.

This guy is talking out his ***... he probably owns a z6 manifold and wont admit that the y8 is better... and by the way I dont own either of them.
