jeeeze this h23 is a big prob
so im one of the many plp with a prob with there prelude with a fluxiating idle..ive taken it to 3 shops here where i live..one said it eather needs a new computer or tpi sensor..the onther one said idk what it is..another told me that im gunna have to take it to honda..what all ive done is..2 new tpi's..new t.b gasket..3 new ecu's...3 new idle air controll valves...i bleed the coolant..checked for vaccume leaks..i kno it could be alot of things..anyone gone through this?
wow dude let me get one of those brand new IACVs....lol
What do you mean by tpi?
Throttle body?
Throttle position sensor?
You most likely need to tighten down the wax screw on the back of the FITV, which is under the throttle body, take the screws on the rear loose, take that gold metal plate off, and then screw the large wax ring.

uve been going around the problem, just take out the FITV and clean it..disassemble it like you would a firearm, clean it with penetrating oil or brake cleaner, and put it back together nice and well..i just did this yesterday..the car had jumping idle everywhere..30 mins of work and the problem was gone. bet u wasted a lot of money on those parts.
ps. whats a tpi? tps?
if i hadnt forgot to buy batteries for my digicam i would have taken pics of the process yesterday, since i see so many people with this problem on here.

take some carb cleaner and spray it around your lines on top and underneath the intake mani...its messy but your engine will rev up if it pulls it in....when you done go wash your engine down at the car wash....has worked many times on friends cars while in college.
