Default B18c1 Set up from import builders

Ive been talking to the guys from import Builders fro a while now and this is a set up he recomended to me Im intrested in hearing what everyody thinks

"ok. I could probably have you something good within 2-3 weeks, and you back driving it again.

Here is what I suggest.
Ported head
Springs/retainers
Cams
Intake manifold
Ported TB
Intake attachment
Good header
Wiseco pistons 11.8:1 compression
Forged rods
New bearings
bored/honed/blueprinted
new head gasket
new Type-R water pump
RC 440 injectors
Hondata S300
Exhaust mod to make header fit
And thats about as good as can be done in about 3 weeks time. The guy who will do the labor on your car works at the dyno place, so it will be tuned right after its built, right there on the spot!

Its probably going to make around 235+ on their dyno there, its a dynapack. Which is well over 200 WHP.

so with new timing belt, new seals, new intake heat gasket, tuned, and with oil changes and filter its probably going to come in around 7k.

Thats the fast and easy solution. So you can have it back by march 10 or so. And drive it a month. Thats a very complete solution. You just drop the car off, and its turnkey done"

Jeff has been around for years and that very setup will post up very great numbers. He built several friends of mines cars years ago in 2001 and made 205+ whp. He won't steer you in the wrong way he has no hidden agenda, he looks out for racers and has been doing so for many, many years.

I just wish he'd tune cars like back in the day........I would pay money to have that happen again

"cams" and "good header" don't mean a whole lot to us. We need some more infoz! What year is this B18C btw, because if it's OBD2 you can drop the hypeR oil pump.

i have done business with jeff, he has great customer service. and is a very reputable builder/tuner. I personally have bought his valvesprings and they do not look anything like jg valvetrain. i have also bought his ported ITR IM and i love it, not to mention the head he did for me.

Nice setup, but if your spending 7k and building the engine, you might as well sleeve/bore & stroke it for a couple $$ more while your at it.

I have heard mixed reviews on IB, but i dont have any 1st hand experience with them so i cant really comment on them.

I will say jeff is a good salesman, but after that...............?

My buddy has a shop next to JG and sees jeff there all the time. That guy use to talk **** about them. it will catch on to you. people will know what he is really about. all he is doing is making more $$$$ off other peoples parts. he made the china rods famous.

For 7K, I think you can do better.

You should just go to JG and save your self some buxs. For that matter, there are a number of really good builders in SoCal and all over the US.

Jeff defiantly is a guy to work around with you. I have been talking with him for about 5 months now. His turn around time is fast and easy. as for your setup you can get 235hp easier. 85MM bore and LA Sleeve your hitting 200 easy there and pnp head with pnp intake and bored tb easy 220+ on 91.

to bad your a marine

1. I do not care what is his source until it is working fine.
2. He just did not sent me what I ordered, he did not keep promised deadline (same happened to my friend) and his customer service is not good.
3. The quality of some received parts was great, some others was poor

I think I will never buy from him again. Sorry.
