Boston rules! 2nd best place I ever lived, next to NYC of course. 
It's a stretch to call any paved surface within 30 miles of Boston a "road". Your best bet for nice driving would be to cross the border to New Hampshire, it's about a 45 minute ride up I-93. North of the Nashua/Manchester area, it's nothing but backroads.
Keep that car under lock and key. Stoughton sux, particulary the Blue Hill area!
