UPDATE!!!! dyno vid and sheet up on page 6!!!!!
I just thought i had to share my story so far on how the project is going
read if you want (the stock f23 accord motor SOHC 4 cyl)
i have a custom turbo kit running about 7-8 psi on a stock motor, with an aem ems, pushing 250 or so to the wheel. I ran the car up at Brainerd on the road race track, back in April of '05 back then it wasnt as powerful and tuned with a SAFCII, and i blew the motor, too much heat from constant boost (kind of a dumb idea on my part but oh well).
So i had the motor ripped apart, turns out i cracked a couple of pistons and rings. i had decided to get it sleeved and built, well the long and short of it is, a shop in CA took over 8 months before we realized it was taking to long, so we had it shipped back, and out to Nebraska, this guy never answered his phone, the shop had his buddy pick it up, and ended up going to jail, which they locked up my motor, because he owed money or something. So the shop i go through bought a new block. (ticking on about 13-14 months now), found a local shop in MN to do it, he bored it halfway, and then had to close, then i found Dick Burns in Wyzata. i found out that block was cracked, ordered a new one, and now after 20 some months i have it sleeved and a polished crank.
The total is four blocks (the one i blew, the one thats cracked, the one thats sleeved, and the extra used one in my car) and four shops in 20 some months to sleeve a block!
The block is now decked, sleeved, machined, and only rough honed so far.... the other shop i go to will be doing the fine honing.
Enough talk heres the pictures of before and after:
BEFORE:

AFTER:

And the plan of the build:
Darton ductile iron replacement sleeves
Polished crank
Crower Rods
Custom JE pistons (9:1)
New piston rings (obviously)
ferrea valves
JG engine dynamics valve springs, retainers
ARP head studs
New bearings, gaskets, oil pump, water pump etc. etc.
Injectors (probably 770+)
Heres the bottom end assembled:

The head still needs to be picked up so i didn't get any pictures of that yet, but hopefully soon, within this month here i should have dyno video, and numbers!
had trouble with the valve springs, had to return them, and order new ones, but they came in today and heres some pictures:

awaiting assembly, install, and tuning!
!!!!!Update!!!!!!
Motor is assembled and going in the car OCT 4th!!!!! woot woot!

I have the exact same build up as you. The only difference is I went with Benson Sleeves. I had it running on the AFC HACK for a month before installing the AEM EMS. I'm having issues with EMS right now. Hopefully in a month or so I'll have it back on the road.
What trans are you running with the build motor?
If you're interested here is my build up. http://www.everything-honda.co...=3679

well right now the numbers are what we feel is comfortable with the turbo, the turbo maxes out at 480, so safely im shooting for 400 or more it depends on how the tuning on the dyno goes but roughly 400whp

also stinker, you and B, have been the motivation behind the project i have talked to you and him pretty often about questions and stuff, i believe i have read every page of yours and B's builds, thats what got me going on this thanks!
also the trans is the stock f23 5spd trans right now with an act stage 2 race/street clutch probably eventually rebuild it with an lsd but thats after i pay all this off hahaha
If you have a thread on your problem with the ems i know a little bit about i could try to help, good luck with that im loving watching you and B work with your accords its awesome knowing that there are at least a couple willing to go this route and go on a limb haha!

Hey Hando, thanks i appreciate it, im glad to see it come together also, i am tuning it out in Sioux Falls with the AEM, right now for break in period we decided to go with a tune that is at the 250 whp, and then open it up after the break in period, in a week or so.....
as far as the valves, the ferrera valves did not work out, so actually they are SI valves i believe and they only ran a couple hundred so not too bad at all
heres some more pictures for you guys-------

I'm running a bone stock f23a7 in my CRX right now, boost will be the next step... your dyno run should be good inspiration, not enough F people out there
Nice and Good man
I just can believe he background of your story in that case I personally don't do it. To much problems and little pacience.
But congratulations and I will be looking forward to this project Fseries
