Default hydro or cable??

k just about emptied my 2k out on my lsv for my ef and it leaves me with one hard decision. Buddy of mine has a set of hasport cable to hydro mounts like new for 250 but i have a set of ebay steel mounts for a cable set up. I planed from the begining of this build i was gonna get a b16 tranny and through an ls fifth in it but im undecided on what to do. Spend the BIG chunk on the hydro tranny and conversion or stick with cable ? what would you do if you were me THANKS !!!!!!!!!

in my experience after 3 ys1 trannys and an LS cable trans id never own another cable trans without keeping an extra 3rd gearset in the glovebox. But a tech at the honda where i work has an all motor with a ys1 that has been regeared with diffrent syncros that doesnt grind.
I just dropped 1700.00 on a brand new usdm typeR trans because i just killed my 4th cable trans. ITs going to be another 300 for mounts for me, and the clutch for the R trans is also more expensive .

I would always agree with the extra money to convert say EF to hydro - it does cost more up front......but it will save $$ down the road not to mention time. 2nd and 3rd are the weak links in Cable tranny's
