Default Disconnecting the battery after installing a K&N Air Filter

Do you need to disconnect the battery after installing a K&N Air filter? Or will the vehicles CPU automatically adjust the air fuel ration. 2006 Honda Accord.

You do not need to reset the ECU.

The engine had difficulty starting this morning. I had to turn it off and give it gas. Later it started up fine.

You don't need to reset the ECU when installing a new air filter (regardless of type). You have a MAP sensor where the air intake meets the throttle body and you have an Oxygen sensor inside the exhaust headers that will regulate the fuel/air mixture.

A bunch of other sensors as well but these are some of the main ones.
