How to rid my pretty car of the ugly black side skirts?????
You'll have to excuse my ignorance, as I know little about automotive painting and the like.
My Integra has the nasty stock GS-R black sideskirts... and I feel that they really detract from the appearance of the car.
My question is this... can I paint them?
Logic tells me that no, they're cheap plastic, it wouldn't match the cars body. I don't know how accurate my logic is though.
Can I have them painted? or should I just buy aftermarket or OEM kit?

you'd probably get off better w/the OEM kit seeing how that material (urethane) is made to be painted.. our stock SS tend to start peeling over time if painted. talk to some body shops to see if heavy sanding and priming can prevent this.. either way, good luck
wings west type W would look really nice. but i have seen the stock skirts painted, dont know how long they will last though.
just paint them... it will make your car look sooo much better.
be sure that if you dont want it to chip, you must sand and primer it and before you paint, spray a few coats of a flexing agent for painting urethane. after that just do light gentle coats of color ... allow to dry, then apply coats of clear/gloss overcoat. be sure to allow it to dry completely and do the painting on a pretty warm/sunny day with less humidity.
i haven't prepped mine at all when i did them... i didn't clear them either, and i used heavy coats and it's runny and it's chipping at some places. that's the difference between prepping and not prepping

yeah...just have a body shop paint it...i took mine to the shop and they painted it really good...i think thats it worth the money, the look, and saves time on your behalf...but if you want to paint it yourself, just realize that in the long run it'll probably peel off (as mentioned before)...good luck!

the body shop spray's a special paint on before the real paint that keeps the paint from cracking if it gets hit since it's plastic. Your factory bumpers and stuff have the same stuff because they are supposed to flex a little bit. I plan on getting mine painted along with applying an R front lip. A guy quoted me to paint the sides and the lip $100.
Go OEM...It's cheap, easy to install, fits perfectly, and you can get rid of those mudflaps.

I think Duplicolor now offers milano red spray paint. Spray a coat of flexible plastic primer and spray on the dulipcolor stuff and it could be an alright job for cheap. But if it doesn't work out, you can get it done professionally and be able to brag that you did it before and it sucked.
I think I'll try to avoid using Duplicolor, because I'll end up paying more to undo what I did, than to just have it done right the first time.
I would love to get the OEM kit, but I'm not paying ridiculous money for it, and Radley Acura doesn't have the full kit.
Would it look silly w/ just sideskirts??

I don't think it would look weird. You could always mix and match with other kits.
I found a set of side skirts for sale on E-bay
