Default Cluster help.

So i'm trying to install a '00 Accord cluster into my '94 Accord and i don't have any idea as to how to get it working. (Although i've yet to try to install it!) Yes i'm aware the difference is that my original cluster is analog while the other one is digital.

Got wiring drawings for both years? Do you know how the wiring harnesses differ between '94 & 2000?

Earlier years the tachometer was driven by a signal from the ignitor. I suspect your '94 would be like that. The ECU drives the tachometer directly in later years, at least by 1998. I wonder if the signals aren't the same.

Maybe other differences too?

I was also thinking of that. Are 5th gen. Preludes digital or analog?

Yeah, that's a pretty good site. It'll probably have wiring drawings, but that won't say whether the signals that drive the tachometer or speedometer are compatible from one year to another.

In other words, I don't really know how to answer your real question... Hope someone has tried it & worked out the problems.

oooooooo put some navi in there, I'm tempted to try.

As to the cluster you're probably on your own or try a swap shop or electronics shop depending on how well you know your stuff
