Wow that makes me want to rock 17s so bad.

funny how 17's look sooo huge on an R but just right on my EVO, and R owners just gotta have 'em and EVO owners just gotta have anything larger like 18's or 20's...
to each his own.
I love picking up stock wheels for both at cut-rate deals

Depending on the wheel, I think 17" wheels on an R look great. Though you should take the road condition into account as it's not a very comfortable ride if the roads are in bad shape.

^ Funny you should say that... I have a set of 17" authentic OZ wheels 5x114.3 with tires. Willing to let them go for $350.
EDIT: Annnnnnd I just noticed your location.
Well, just for the hell of it, here's some pictures of them... All four wheels have rash on the outer lip, but no deep scoring.

Or, 16" Bronze Rota GT3s 5x114.3 for the same price.

I need to make some money.

Funny how this thread turned into a "17's are teh suxorz"
.
I'm rockin' 17's and I think when I lower my car a tiny bit more in the front it'll look perfect. Ah-la JUN.R steez
. In retrospect, had the rims I just bought been available in a 16x7/8 I would've preferred it since 16's are the happy medium but, alas, 17x7.5 was the only ITR fitiment and I just had to splurge

For those of you running 17's for the track and or being dumped:
Are you guys running a higher offset to accommodate fender rubbing when using 215/225 tire widths? I ran a +38 offset 17x7.5 rim but was using 205 tires that looked a little stretched and wasn't my taste at all, and that still had rubbing in the rear which was quickly fixed with a little roll of the wheel well. I quickly got tired of the stretched tire which barely cleared my finger between the gap so i ended up selling them.
Just wondering because I would really like to get 2 sets of rims, 16's for the go and 17's for the show

My guess would be because the stock wheels are the most common wheel for an ITR. I'm not certain on the validity of that statement however.

Maybe because of that little thing called "quality"?

^ I agree. However, they're cast wheels... And VOLK TE-37s, are forged. In case you did not know, forged wheels are stronger than cast wheels, no matter how overrated, or played out they are. Believe it or not, some people buy wheels for the function, not form.
