1996 Built B18c1 GSR Engine Complete EG Swap, Kansas
Hey guys, it's the Chinese New Year and it also means a new beginning for my car..I'm making my B18C1 engine available for sale once I have my new swap in, it'll come with everything you need to drop it into a EG along with the transmission.. mounts and everything. It comes with a chipped Hondata S100 ecu as well as the GSR transmission with LSD. Compression tests were similar on all 4 cylinders and was done by my friend (can't remember what they are but can be determined again for very interested parties). Leakdown test was done a while back ago at Modifyd before I spun the bearing, I'll try to find it as well.
Now I don't have a VIN on the motor, but I bought this car/engine from Snail_Eg who's the co-owner (I think?) of ANR racing products. He built most of the motor himself and most of the paperwork that he handed to me has been stolen along with other stuff when my car was broken into.
The top end has about 10,000 miles on it and I had the bottom end rebuilt a year ago at Modifyd after I spun a bearing. I'll try my best to look for the receipt if you want proof but I bet Minh would be able to back me up on this. The bottom end has approx 2000 miles.
Method of abuse: Only a few drags and the occasional autocross in the Midwest. Hey..like my friend said, I didn't get this car/engine for fuel economy but it's safe to say I don't really abuse it.
Now to the engine specs stolen directly from Snail_Eg's post a few years ago, edited some stuff of course and taken out those that are stolen or changed etc :

Now to the bad part of the engine:
1. It is currently tuned super rich, when Vtec hits the smoke is unbelievable till it got the nickname Ol'Smokey from a friend's friend. I recommend tuning it asap, I would have gotten it to Tony1 in Dallas this weekend if not for the new swap.
2. It's burning oil. We thought it was the piston rings, but when I rebuilt the bottom end, the rings were changed of course but it did not stop the problem. A few people suggested it could be the valve seals. I would really wanna find out the problem too but currently have no idea. Compression readings were perfect.
It was dyno-tuned to only 170whp/125 tq. You and I know with this setup the engine will definitely see higher numbers with a better af ratio and a better tuner. However, it still pulls very hard and has even beaten a WRX on the drag strip albeit a shitty driver.
Very interested buyers are welcome to test-drive the motor when it's still in the car. No joy-riders.
An old shitty video of me accelerating from roll, this was before it had the Skunk2 Stage 2s, air intake and dyno-tuned. (Speedo reads KMH)

A pic of the engine. (MSD ignition is gone)

I'll try to get a few more videos of the engine if I have the time.
