I don't see any information on the manufacture of those pistons. They MIGHT be Nippon in which case they are decent quality. I've never had a problem with any of the Nippon products and I know they are an OEM supplier as well. I am however not much of a fan for hastings rings. Used em once with horrible results. Went back to OEM after that.

Honda sells hastings rings, why would they sell poor quality rings?

They are Safety pistons, made by Right Way in Taiwan. Same as RS pistons. They are actually very nice. Cost to quality, they are IMO, a better deal than OEM Honda.

I've never gotten Hasting rings from Honda, maybe you have a dealer selling aftermarket items? Don't know. Anyways, I never said they were "poor quality".. I did say I had a bad experience and prefer OEM.

i'm using them right now in my setup. motor is over a year old and have over 200-250 passes on the dyno and the track combined...no smoke and still running strong. bump for affordable pistons and rings

So if they charged you alot more would you assume they must be great quality?
IMO, pistons (and most other aftermarket and stock parts) should never cost more than the stuff you get on Ebay. The profit margin & markups on the big name brand parts and most OE stuff is astronomical. Sure you usually get good quality when you go that route but that doesn't mean that less expensive parts are crappy.
