Default FS: Built D16Y8 Longblock

I decided to switch things up for this year, so its time to sell the D16Y8 engine setup.

All machining and assembly was done by McQuillen Race Engines in LeRoy New York. Bottom end consists of 9.0:1 SRP pistons on Eagle rods with a gas nitrided crank and OEM Honda bearings. The head has a Crane cam and valvespring/retainer setup, as well as Crane cam gear and a 3 angle valve job.

The engine has about 3500 miles on it total as it was built and then street tuned immediately after. I never had an issue with it. Timing was kept conservative with a 0.8 degree per pound of boost retard. Air fuel ratios were also somewhat conservative with around 11:1 or so in boost. The engine is strong; running 7.5psi I pulled several cars on my friends very low 14 second RSX from a 50mph pull. I did a compression test before tearing things apart to begin the part out and it was 180ish (everything within 5 psi of each other) across the board. I didn't write the numbers down, but probably should have. on me.

There is also an ACT clutch that is good for up to 280ish lb-ft of torque (don't remember the part # right now) that is mated to a resurfaced OEM flywheel that I'll also include. I have two transmissions, one out of a 97 DX that is currently mated to the engine, and one out of an 96+ EX that needs a new second gear synchro. I'll include the shift linkage thats currently on the car.

The engine is located in Rochester, NY, which is about halfway between Buffalo and Syracuse. I'd be willing to deliver this or meet up anywhere between Indiana and Maine. I can ship it, but I'd have to look into the crating/freight charges. PM me with reasonable offers, as I have receipts totaling close to $3500 for the engine build alone, but I'm willing to sell it for a lot less than that.

For those interested, I can get pictures uploaded on Monday night.
