Talk to Bisi. Or Wil at Exospeed; those guys have more experience with the hapless single cam engines.

yeah deff, bisi is the man

still waist of money for a street motor, with the money you spend on making the single stick equally as fast as a b16 (all motor vs all motor) you can just buy they damn swap or maybe even a gsr swap

In an ef with d16a6, a1 pistons, obd1, z6 head, y8 mani, cam, and some good tuneing will get you at least the same times as a stock b16 and will cost less than the swap if you know where to get the parts from. (its not as good of a platform as the b16 but it depends what your into)

if you goal is to just beat up on B16's you wont have any trouble with a sohc.
but i would suggest picking up a D16 though. the 90mm stroke will come in handy. you just need to spend your money in the right places.

An act of God to blow the B16 up in mid-race.

You have to be kidding me.

Making all motor horsepower out of a B-series is tough, let alone a 1500cc single-cam engine.

Glad you know all this stuff. What did you make on the last D-series you built? What cam did you use? What compression? What exhaust? Who did the head ?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by D-Rob &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

C'mon, Don.

You and I both know that if this user were serious about such a feat, he wouldn't be asking Honda-Tech for advice.

And the last D-Series I 'built' ended up with a couple bullets in it. LEAD BUILT!

I dunno I have cheap sohc setup and I would put it up against B16A's in my chassis anyday. Its not easy but there are plenty of cheap parts you can pick that wake the sohc up.

D's are fun and different.

This thread is nothing more than an outlet for 15-year-olds' pipe dreams about their stock engines.

Like I said...

He asked he was told.

It's a pipe dream, it's the truth, if you don't like the real world try drawing a cartoon of your self and summoning some vodoo preist to put you into the cartoon world.

I forsee the cartoon world much being like Dark Wing Duck only sexier.
