Default HUUUUUGE PROBLEM V-TEEEEEEEC

alright I have a 96 ek hatch with a ls-vtec, and my v-tec will not engage. I have searched and found nothing but stupid threads, I have the right amount of oil in the motor the v-tec is wired i am running a knock sensor and a stock p72 ecu, what could be my problem. The car is jumped to obd-1 is there some thing i am missing anybody think of some thing else I should check please let me know anything is welcome Thanks GUYS

u have any codes? check engine light on? could be a lot of stuff...

Ok, since you seem to have some type of knowledge on how the VTEC system works. It may get into more detail. If you have no CELs than you can possible have the same problem I had with my setup. My problem was the LMA's (Loss Motion Assemblies) they were sticking and not allowing my VTEC to engage. But before you jump into that, go over your oil line and make sure it is not kinked in anyway.

check vtec wiring and see if there is a lose wire...on the vtec pressure switch and solinoid..or maybe on of those are bad..

Tap a small test bulb into the green plugged wire @ the solenoid with enough slack to run up to your windsheild. Put the bulb under you windsheild wiper to keep it from flopping around. This will tell you if its mechanical, (light is working) or electrical (light isnt working). After you know that. Its alot easier to troubleshoot the problem.

TRY CHECKING THE JUMPER, LOTS OF TIMES COMPANIES MAKE THE PINS IN THE WRONG PLACE OR ARE POORLY BUILT AND PINS SLIP OUT JUST A BIT AND COULD MESS UP ALOT.
